Our club champions 2024 according to AAB: 1st place: Tobias Hipp, 378 points, with Welsumer orange; 2nd place: Tobias Hipp, 378 points, with Dwarf Rhofeländer with rose comb; 3rd place: Alois Guggemos, 377 points, with Italian Red; 4th place: Sigi Menz, 373 points, with Dwarf Brahma GSG; 5th place: Helmut Riedle, 373 points, with Pomeranian ducks black. Congratulations!
In glorious sunshine, we enjoyed a comprehensive tour of the farm. We not only saw the animals, all of which are on the Red List of endangered species, but were also allowed to feed and pet them.
A herd of approximately 50 original Allgäu Brown Swiss cows is truly impressive in person.
Augsburg chickens and a group of mountain sheep rounded out the animal program.
Afterwards, we treated ourselves to coffee and cake in the farm’s café. All in all, a truly wonderful and informative outing.
Everyone agreed that we should repeat such an activity soon.
It was great!
On Sunday, May 4th, the
Lechbruck Small Animal Breeders Association once again opened its gates for its annual
open house. Unfortunately, the weather was
n’t as kind to us as last year, but we were still able to welcome
many visitors, friends, and supporters to our
breeding facility at Rottachweiher in Lechbruck.
Breeders showcased a wide variety of chicken breeds, as well as rabbits and guinea pigs. There was even a broody hen with nine chicks to admire. A comprehensive program of activities was offered for children.
Refreshments were available, including a large selection of homemade cakes and tarts.
Tobias Hipp, the association’s president, and Christoph Kirchner, the vice president, were available to answer questions on the day.
At the rooster crowing contest, Martin Niggl’s rooster, “Erwin,” had to defend his first-place title from last year – unfortunately, without success. The winners in the adult category of large roosters were Sigi Menz’s rooster, which crowed 24 times, and Susi Papenbrock’s rooster, which crowed 2 times.
In the adult category of bantam roosters, Tobias Hipp’s rooster came in first with 19 crows, Ralf Rutka’s rooster second with 8 crows, and Anita Hipp’s rooster third with 7 crows.
In the youth category, Romy Riedle’s rooster took first place with an incredible 42 crows, Klilian Hack’s rooster second with 18 crows, and Leonhard Riedle’s rooster third with 14 crows.

On Friday, September 23, 2022, the Lechbruck Small Animal Breeders Association was able to hold its 2021
Annual General Meeting , as well as the 2020 Annual General Meeting, which had been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions . Chairman Tobias Hipp welcomed 32 members to the Gasthaus Holler . Following a moment of silence in remembrance of members who had passed away in the last two years, the board presented its reports. The reports were discussed without objection, and the board was granted discharge. The meeting then moved on to the awards ceremony. The association was founded in 1990 , and since no awards could be presented in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the board had called for members to be honored this year for 30 years of membership.

Guests traveled to Lechbruck from all over southern Germany.
